1990 British Military Canvas Bag Doctor Bag IND 1770

I found a “1990” stamp on the original canvas.

This frame bag is made from original British military canvas that has been taken apart and reconstructed. It opens wide like a traditional doctor’s bag or Gladstone bag, making it practical and easy to access the contents.

The corners are reinforced with matching pieces of the original canvas.

As the canvas dates from 1990, it is relatively recent compared with many of the older military fabrics I use, and it is in excellent condition.

The handles are made from Italian leather, approximately 4 mm thick. It is a strong, durable leather that will age beautifully with use.

The webbing is original British military cotton webbing, paired with durable COBRA buckles for opening and closing the bag. This combination brings together vintage military materials and modern hardware.

The shoulder strap is 5 cm wide and fitted with original British military hooks. The length can be adjusted using an AUSTRIALPIN slider, made by the same company as the COBRA buckles.
