1942 RAF(Royal Air Force) Vintage Canvas Doctor Bag IND_1758

This frame bag is made from authentic British Royal Air Force (RAF) canvas, stamped 1942, which has been carefully dismantled and reconstructed by hand.

The bag features a wide-opening frame structure similar to a traditional doctor’s bag or Gladstone bag, allowing easy access to the contents while maintaining excellent practicality. The corners are reinforced using matching RAF canvas. Despite its age, the fabric remains firm and is in very good condition.

The handles are made from Loano, a vegetable-tanned leather produced by Virgilio Conceria Artigiana in Italy. Rich in oils, this leather develops a deeper color and beautiful sheen with use over time. At nearly 4 mm (0.16 in.) thick, it is exceptionally durable and substantial.

The webbing connecting the body to the buckle is made from genuine U.S. military cotton webbing. For the closure system, I use a rugged COBRA® buckle, combining vintage military canvas with modern hardware. The result is a bag that feels both classic and contemporary.

This bag is recommended for those who need generous capacity or appreciate a wide-opening design. It offers a clean and straightforward hand-carry style with excellent usability.

An optional shoulder strap is also available.

The strap is 3.8cm (1 1/2 in.) wide and fitted with genuine U.S military hooks. The length adjustment slider is manufactured by AUSTRIALPIN, the same company that produces the COBRA buckle.

The shoulder strap is normally sold separately for JPY 8,800, but when purchased together with the bag, it is available for JPY 5,800.
